Practice the conversation before it’s real.
Text or talk with AI people: a first date, a new neighbor, a hard talk at work. A coach scores every message and gives you hints, not rewrites. The people are AI, so mistakes don’t count.

How it works
- Step 1
Pick a goal
What do you want to get better at?
- Dating
- Making friends
- Small talk
- Leading at work
- Hard conversations
- Step 2
Meet an AI person
Each one has a life, a mood and things they don’t tell you at first. Text them or talk out loud.
- Step 3
Read the coach, try again
Every message gets a score and a hint. Write another version and see if it lands better.
Three ways to practice
Short on time? Do a drill. Ready for the real thing? Meet someone face to face.
Texting
Text an AI person. Take your time.
- One chat per person. They remember what you talked about.
- Not happy with a message? Write another version and compare.
Face to face
Meet an AI person live. Talk out loud.
- Pick a place, like a café or a party. Talk for up to 15 minutes, or type live.
- After: the transcript, your pauses and filler words, and a review.
Drills
5-minute drills. No person needed.
- Short cards: spot what to ask about, go deeper, save a dead answer.
- You get a rating and a question to think about. Never the answer.
A coach that asks, not tells.
Every message you send gets a score from 1 to 5 for each skill of your goal. Skills are things likeFollow up, Share yourself and Warmth.
Then you get a hint. A hint is a question, not a better message: the coach never writes it for you. You find your own words, so you still have them when it’s real.
- Great: send it.
- Good start: small changes would help.
- Try another way: think again.
The AI person reacts too. Their interest goes up or down, so you see if your message worked on this person, not only on paper. Over time, each skill gets a level, and you can watch it grow.
Your message
“Ha, done in a good way? Where did you go?”
- Follow up
- Share yourself
- Easy to reply
- Warmth
- Playful
Habit
Interview mode. Several questions in a row. It starts to feel like a form.
Hint
What could you tell her about your own weekend, so it’s not only questions?

Questions
Something else? See Support or write to support@talklabapp.com.
Are the people real?
No. Every person in Talk Lab is made by AI. They have their own story, mood and way of texting, but they are made up and can’t meet you.
Will the coach write my messages for me?
No. The coach gives a score and asks a question that points you somewhere. You write the next version yourself. That is how the words become yours.
Can I practice in my own language?
Yes. The AI people can chat in English, Slovenian, German, Croatian, Spanish, French and Italian. The app and the coach’s notes are in English.
What is a “message”?
One message is about one text you send and get scored. Drills and talking out loud use messages too: a 5-minute talk uses more than a text. The app always shows about how many you have left.
Is this therapy?
No. Talk Lab is for practice and confidence. It is not therapy and not medical advice. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency number.
Who is it for?
Adults, 18 and over. It helps most if conversations make you nervous, or if you speak English (or another language) as a second language.
When can I get it?
Talk Lab is coming soon to iPhone and Android, in the App Store and Google Play.
